Things such as weapon durability, resource gathering, and a seemingly infinite amount of side activities to do are all features that are plentiful in the game. EA and FIFA have reached a stalemate in contract negotiations, according to The New York Times. A new report shows that the two companies have failed to renew their contract so far because of increased fees and exclusivity rights. EA’s current ten-year contract ends after the 2022 World Cup. So far, the publisher has failed to reach agreeable terms on a new contract that will take over from that point. Two major sticking points are holding these negotiations up: FIFA wants more money from EA, and EA wants more exclusivity rights....
Update, May 19, 12:10 PM CT: In a statement to DoubleXP, an EA spokesperson clarified that the recent layoffs were not tied exclusively to the FIFA franchise, and also claimed that the customer support function spans across many of EA’s games and services. “These changes are not tied to any one gaming franchise, nor are they connected to our EA SPORTS FC announcement last week. The customer support function supports a wide range of player questions pertaining to our gaming titles, technology including Origin, and our EA Play subscription service,” said the EA representative....

The Cadre of Contenders seasonal challenge tasks players with completing Crucible matches in the Competitive playlist. As is Bungie’s tried-and-true formula, directions are often confusing to players. Simply put, play Glory: Survival or Freelance Glory: Survival to complete this challenge. These are the only two Competitive playlists, aka Crucible modes, offered in Destiny 2. Each player must repeatedly play Glory: Survival and/or Freelance Glory: Survival to increase the progress bar for the Cadre of Contenders seasonal challenge....
Destiny 2 developer Bungie will observe a moment of silence on Aug. 27 to honor the victims of the Aug. 26 shooting in Jacksonville, Florida. Eleven were injured and two killed after a gunman opened fire at a Madden 19 Championship Series qualification event. Bungie will delay the release of its Destiny 2: Forsaken launch trailer out of respect for the two victims. “Out of respect for the victims in Jacksonville, Florida, we will be observing a day of silence through Monday on all Bungie and Destiny channels,” the developer tweeted from the Destiny Twitter account....

Just the other day, we brought you some comparison screenshots for the beta version of Destiny between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions. The two versions definitely look quite different, but it is sometimes hard to tell as much on screenshots. Wednesday afternoon, Netflix announced that it would be streaming the spinoff anime to Detective Conan. The spinoff has been titled Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time and is an adaptation of the manga with the same name. For international fans, the series will premiere in July. The news for Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time also goes in hand with a trailer complete with English subtitles. Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time will premiere in Japan on April 5th, 2022....
Square Enix has announced in a recent interview that its upcoming RPG – shooter hybrid will get special development love for the PlayStation 3. The company stated that they are “very confident in the PS3 version” of the game. Which means, Deus Ex: Human Revolution won’t be a simple port to the PS3. The developer said it tweaked numerous aspects of the game to perform optimally on the console, which includes tuning the controls to cater to the Dual Shock 3....
Panic Button Games is synonymous with high-quality ports on the Nintendo Switch. The developer has already brought Rocket League and DOOM to the console, and the studio is busy working on Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’ Nintendo Switch debut. But according to a new interview with the studio, more titles are on the way for the Switch from the company. “We might have some other titles for that platform, and maybe some other games for other platforms, in the works,” Panic Button’s director of development Adam Creighton told Gamasutra....
