The beta for the free-to-play shooter DUST 514 on the PlayStation Network, begins today. While the game has been in closed beta for some time, today marks the first time where PSN users can access the shooter, and help CCP shape the game for its impending release. The free to play shooter ties into the universe of Eve Online, with both games residing on the same servers within the company. The developers describe DUST 514 as a “full-fledged MMOFPS”, with a ton of customization and persistent features in the game....

According to a report by Reuters, the streamer Ninja may have earned a pretty penny for playing on his channel EA’s Apex Legends. Apex Legends is one of the latest battle royale sensations that hit the gaming scene last month. Developed by Respawn Entertainment, the same studio who did the Mass Effect series, and published by Electronic Arts, Apex has proven to be very popular. According to a supposed leak of the Brazilian PlayStation headquarters, launch windows and new trailers for Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding could be revealed at The Game Awards 2018. On top of that, a Dreams release date would also be dropped at the event, hopefully together with the promised beta for the game. The latter is still slated for a 2018 release, so we wouldn’t rule out for it to be launched as soon as the TGA wraps up....

Just prior to the launch of the weekly reset, Bungie implemented the 4.0.0.4 Hotfix to Destiny 2. It includes a number of adjustments to activities, UI, in-game economy, gameplay, and more. One of the biggest fixes to come is the short-lived reign of terror that Eriana’s Vow had in Gambit. The hand cannon will no longer benefit from PvE values in the PvP portion of the mode. Several stability fixes and updates were put in place for the Vow of the Disciple Raid, making the experience more consistent across the board....
