Batman: Arkham Knight originally released in June of 2015. Nearly 5 years later, the game is still pumping out more cosmetic content.

Rocksteady has announced that the Earth-2 Dark Knight Skin will be available on January 28th for all PS4 players who own a copy of the game. Unfortunately for those on Xbox and PC, the Earth-2 Batman skin is an exclusive piece of content for PS4 players.

As promised last year, the Earth 2 Dark Knight Skin will be made available worldwide to players who own Batman: Arkham Knight on PS4. The Skin will be available for download on the PlayStation Store from the 28th of January. pic.twitter.com/zclEMkS7av

The Earth-2 Dark Knight skin was included in the Batman: Arkham Collection with the promise that the skin would release to all PS4 players in 2020. For anyone wondering why Rocksteady would release a skin for a 5-year old game, there’s your answer. It looks like they were just following up on a promise. Additionally, the skin was available in the past through various promotions. So, this isn’t an entirely “new” piece of DLC per se.

Batman: Arkham Collection will include the Earth 2 Dark Knight Skin, exclusively on PS4. This marks the first time the Earth 2 Dark Knight Skin has been available to players in Europe. It’ll be made available to all owners of Batman: Arkham Knight on PS4 worldwide January 2020!

The Arkham Franchise in 2020

The Arkham franchise only seems to get weirder and weirder these days. On top of this news, a new Batman game is on the way from WB Montreal. For months, the studio behind Batman: Arkham Origins has been leaving behind cryptic teasers with the caption “Capture the Knight”. Other than those teasers, we don’t know too much about the game itself. Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice behind many iterations of the Batman character, has confirmed that he won’t appear in the upcoming WB Montreal project.

WB Montreal’s Batman game is also rumored to have the entire Bat-family as playable characters and star the mysterious Court of Owls as the main antagonist. However, knowing how slow the studio has released information so far, we likely won’t know anything official for a little while longer.
