In a recent conference call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson was asked at the possibility of bringing more EA titles to the Nintendo Switch. In particular, he was asked the possibility of The Sims 4 heading to the portable platform. Wilson disagreed. He cited the main reason is EA customers want to play their games on PS4, Xbox One, or a PC. Here is what he had to say:
“We have a lot of data that would suggest a great many Switch owners also own a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One or a PC and very often choose to play the games that we make on those platforms, even though they have a Switch and they enjoy a lot of great content on the Switch.”
Only five EA games are currently on the Nintendo console. Three of which are FIFA games. EA Originals titles Unravel Two and Fe are also available. Wilson didn’t rule out the possibility of The Sims coming to the Switch in the future, but at this stage, it seems unlikely – there is hope at least!
