On a recent earnings conference call, EA has confirmed their plans to continue investments into both the future of the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the Mass Effect franchises. The following was said by EA’s director CEO Andrew Wilson during the call confirming this statement:

This marks the beginning of a new era for both franchises and it begs the question, what lays in wait for each? In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s case, it is likely we will see a sequel to the first game which was set up heavily at the end to do so. Seeing a plethora of new planets not seen before in the Star Wars games would be an enrapturing addition to the story, but only time will tell what we will see. As for the Mass Effect franchise; the success of the Legendary Edition was shock-wavingly powerful and showcased the true potential of what level of enjoyment game remasters can bring to players and how deeply the community felt about the series as a whole.

The future of the Mass Effect and Star Wars Jedi franchises will no doubt be a bright one with hopes of EA making new games across both avenues.
