EA has been around for a very long time and not too long ago was seen as one of the worst consumer friendly gaming publishers in the industry. However, in more recent years they have started to turn it around a bit and are showing that with an amazing partnership with PlayStation this weekend only. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of PlayStation, EA is providing PlayStation owners three free games, one on each of the three Sony platforms.

PlayStation 4 owners will be able to download the full retail game Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, the game that just hit the platform at the end of the summer and still retails in stores for $39.99. PlayStation 3 owners will be able to download the original Mirror’s Edge, that while cheap these days and being part of PS Plus in the past, is still a great game to get. Lastly, PS Vita owners will get Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

This is an awesome gesture from EA for owners of the console to get that I know I certainly didn’t expect. However, the only stipulation is that you must download them by Sunday night, December 7, at midnight PST, which has it going for the full run of PlayStation Experience. The free games are not quite available yet, but will be today, December 6, at noon PST, which will basically be at the end of the keynote.
