Would it even be E3 2019 without a Sims expansion? Today, EA announced the new Island Living expansion during their EA Play showcase. Originally released in 2013, Sims 4 has a huge amount of extra expansions and game packs that you can buy to add more features and interest to the game. The latest expansion is set to release on July 16.
The new expansion brings an island paradise to the game for you to enjoy with your Sims. It will feature a large selection of new clothes, hairstyles, and accessories. You will also be able to enjoy the water for the first time in Sims 4. Your Sim can also become a conservationist, helping to take care of their beautiful island home and keep it clean.
The island itself will change over time, and if it is looked after well, then wildlife will prosper. The sea will be filled with exotic fish, and you can even potentially be friends with a dolphin. Your Sim can also enjoy other jobs, like being a lifeguard or a diving instructor. Many details of the game leaked through Origin, so I have listed the game description for you below.
The description reads:
The Sims 4 was the best selling PC game of 2014, and 2015, which shows exactly how popular the franchise is. The life simulation game allows players to create characters and control their lives, exploring different quirks and personality traits that impact how the game plays out.
⦁ Sit Back and Relax
Welcome to Sulani, where the sun shines bright and the nights are totally chill. Set sail on the glistening water in your island canoe, swim to your heart’s content, and explore the scenery on a watercraft. Build a spectacular sand castle, catch some rays, and even meet a mermaid!
⦁ Pitch In or Help Out
Become a conservationist, clean up the beaches, and watch your Sims’ impact bloom all over the island. Take to the waves in a fishing or diving career or become a lifeguard to keep the locals safe under the sun. No career? No problem! Sims can do a few odd jobs or fish for their next meal.
⦁ Engage in Local Culture
Tradition runs deep on Sulani, and your Sims get to experience everything it has to offer. Immerse Sims in their newfound lifestyle by attending a pit barbecue event, learning about local folklore, tasting tropical delicacies, and chatting with ancestors from the island.
⦁ Rock the Island Vibes
Dress Sims in tropical garb inspired by sun, sand, and waves. Or, gear up for water activities like snorkeling and swimming. Decorate a rustic oasis with home objects and unwind at the tiki bar. Everything is chill (except for the occasional sunburn) when it’s Island Living.
The game also saw the build and buy modes being combined into a single feature, allowing for the movement of entire buildings and rooms. It also allowed people to purchase entire premade rooms and set them down in their house.
