Ea Access Teased For Ps4 Could Be Coming In The Year

EA Access has been teased to be coming to “another major platform,” which is a rather fitting definition for PlayStation 4.

During Electronic Arts’ latest earnings call, from the management it was reported that “in the year ahead we plan to offer a subscription service on another major platform.”

As you might know, EA Access is a $5 a month service which allows you to have access to a Vault of older games and 10-hour trials of the most anticipated titles from the publisher.

At this moment, it’s an Xbox One exclusive, although something similar is available on PC with the label Origin Access.

Back in the days, Sony didn’t allow it to be available on PS4 as the platform owner thought that “we don’t think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer.”

GameSpot asked EA for a comment but received a “no further details to share at this point” as a response.

So we’ll likely have to wait for the E3 2019’s EA Play or any other occasion where the publisher can make this announcement. It won’t take ages, though, so stay tuned.
