Ubisoft held its E3 2016 press conference earlier today, but there was no mention of Beyond Good & Evil 2. During a YouTube livestream, they confirmed that the game is still in development and it isn’t fading away.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told Geoff Keighley that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is “still on the way” and they will share more about the game in the future. He didn’t give a time frame as to when we will see it yet.

There was a rumor via Destructoid that the game could be a Nintendo NX exclusive. This is because Nintendo might be helping Ubisoft fund its development. If the game still exists, we may see it once Nintendo reveals its new console.

The first Beyond Good & Evil game was well received, but sadly it didn’t sell very well. This may be a reason why Nintendo wants to step in and help fund the sequel. In either case, the game is still happening so you don’t have to worry about it being cancelled even though it didn’t appear on the main show today.
