As you may know now already, the Xbox One is backwards compatible with a number of Xbox 360 games. Microsoft has asked fans which games they want to be backwards compatible. Red Dead Redemption has topped the list.

Backwards compatibility is a great feature on Xbox One, although not 100 percent of the Xbox 360 games library will work. Microsoft needs permission from the publisher first before an Xbox 360 game can be backwards compatible. They also have to emulate it successfully too.

The official Xbox Feedback website has asked fans which Xbox 360 games they want to see backwards compatible on Xbox One. Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption tops the list.

Red Dead Redemption was one of the most popular games from the last generation. Its popularity has grown mainly because Rockstar has yet to announce a sequel from it. Since a sequel isn’t being made anytime soon, people really want to relive playing the game on Xbox One.

The top 10 requested games are (as of time of writing): Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Skyrim, Halo: Reach, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Gears of War 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Fallout 3, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Mass Effect 3.
