Dying Light (the original, not the sequel) has officially received a next-gen update over on PlayStation platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Despite Dying Light 2 being the Techland team’s primary focus, they’ve made sure that players on the original game don’t feel left behind by any stretch of the imagination. As such, those who wish to play an enhanced version on a better console of their choosing will now have their chance. You even get a few choices, though more on that in just a second. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Dying Light in its next-gen PlayStation update!

Before we wrap things up, there are a couple of things worth noting. First of all, this update currently isn’t available on Xbox platforms. The team has stated in the tweet (which you’ll find linked below) that this update will come to Xbox soon, as the team is likely either wrapping things up or is waiting for Xbox to finish certifying this update to be pushed. The other note is that, while this update isn’t coming to Dying Light 2 (it did with launch), there’s an update planned very soon for the sequel. What it’ll entail is not currently known but you can be fairly confident it’ll fix several issues plaguing the game. At the very least, for now, you can enjoy playing the original in higher quality or performance.
Dying Light is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms. For more information regarding this update, check out the official Twitter post.
