Dying Light celebrates its sixth anniversary with a brand new limited-time event coming to the game as well as a free Steam weekend.

Yes, you heard right. Dying Light is receiving a limited-time event known as Zombie Hunt where players have to aid the survivors of Harran against hordes of the undead GRE operatives. The two-week event pits the people of Harran into terror as undead GRE operatives enhanced with a special boost potion cause mayhem all over the city.

Dying Light will also receive a free weekend on Steam. Starting February 25, 19:00 CET until March 1, 19:00 CET players will gain free access to the standard edition of Dying Light. The Zombie Hunt event will come to all platforms as well. All Dying Light progression made via the game will remain if the player buys it after the free weekend ends!

The Zombie Hunt event has lots of challenges ahead with goodies to obtain!

Such as slaying the Special Goon, Hothead Joe. Which grants you access to his huge hammer the “HyperArgument.” As well, a significant XP boost! Excavator Mike is another Special Goon who will grant players the recipe to the very same “GREcipe” that has made these undead beings so deadly in the first place. All you have to do to get it is kill him. Simple right?

The sixth Anniversary event for Dying Light also brings with it a brand new bundle for players. The Harran Tactical Bundle contains new guns, melee weapons, cosmetics, and buggy skins to help slay the endless hordes of the undead. The bundle contains the following:

  • “Protector” Armor Skin, which boosts movement during the night.
  • “Guardian” Rifle with burst fire mode.
  • “Dispatcher” Shotgun.
  • “HyperArgument” Double-handed hammer with hyper-mode effect.
  • “Four-Wheeler” Buggy skin with police light

Dying Light’s Tactical Unit Bundle will be available to purchase for $2.99 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 starting February 25, 19:00 CET.

Well, there you have it. That’s all the new stuff coming with Dying Light’s sixth Anniversary Event. Will you be jumping on? Maybe this can help win you over until we get more details on the long-anticipated Dying Light 2.
