Dying Light 2 is a game that prides itself heavily on the choices it has you make. Throughout the entire main story arc, you’re forced to make tons of choices that would involve you helping either the Survivors across the city, or the Peacekeepers trying to enforce government on The City (with brutish force, that is). One of the first major decisions you’ll come across lies in the Water Tower quest, where you’re forced to choose who should get control of the water tower and thus the region. If you find yourself having trouble here though, no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll help you choose who should control the water tower in Dying Light 2!

Who Should Control the Water Tower in Dying Light 2?

When presented with this choice, a ton of the early dialogue implies that you’re dealing with a major choice that will either help Sophie and the Bazaar, or Aitor and the Peacekeepers. It even shows that with the binary choice, letting you hand the region to either the Survivors or the Peacekeepers. At our point in the game though, this seems to have no effect. There’s some minor dialogue, sure, but it seemingly changes nothing about the story at hand. This is the same for the previous choices, as helping the Peacekeepers generally doesn’t upset the Survivors much if at all.

What you’ll be making this choice more on is whether you want the combat-focused or parkour-focused reward associated with it. Seeing as this is your first major landmark to sway control, you’ll want to choose based on either the car bombs planted throughout The City or the ziplines sprinkled throughout. That merely depends on you, and while we chose the ziplines, you’ll be fine going with car bombs should that be more your style.
