Dying Light 2 has today launched its 1.0.6 update on PC platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. A week following launch, the team at Techland are hitting us with another nice patch to the game, this time fixing even more issues than the last. This week focuses mainly on general settings and crashes, though has taken a liking to some of the other co-op issues they haven’t yet taken care of. These include an issue resulting in a deathloop under certain conditions in a co-op session, along with music issues and more! It’s not a colossal update by any stretch, but it’s great to see this update either way. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Dying Light 2 in its 1.0.6 update on PC!

Dying Light 2 Update 1.0.6 PC Patch Notes

  • Added additional video settings (including motion blur and distance blur).
  • Fixed Blocks resulting in player ending in a deathloop after co-op session. Some edge cases may still not be fixed and are being inestigated.
  • Death screen now has a button that allows to spawn player inside mission area preventing a block.
  • Fixed numerous crashes and improved game stability.
  • Added option to switch in-game voiceover between localized and original (English).
  • Added additional video settings (including motion blur and distance blur).
  • Various improvements for keyboard and mouse key binding options (including walk toggle option and switch between toggle and hold aiming).
  • Proper music now plays for peers in co-op sessions.

One particular change of note is in regards to video settings, letting you change motion blur and distance blur just a little easier. Before, you were confined to a singular option in the Advanced video settings, so it’s good to see this expanded upon considerably. All in all, a solid update.

Dying Light 2 and the 1.0.6 update are available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. For more information regarding this update, check out the official Twitter post.
