If you belong to the 100% completion type of players, then you need to free your schedule for Dying Light 2. Game’s official Twitter account announced in a tweet that players would need more than 500 hours of playtime to complete Dying Light 2 100%. This means experiencing every ending, finding everything necessary in the game, and discovering every location.

It’s a huge leap the studio has taken since players only need 50 hours to complete the first installment of the series. In the tweet, there are details that outline that says it takes 500 hours to complete Dying Light 2 and 534 hours to walk from Warsaw to Madrid.

At first, there were no clarifications on whether the 500 hours was just the story and side quests or in general. Therefore Dying Light‘s account quoted the tweet and clarified that 500 hours is necessary for experiencing every ending and exploring every area of the game.

The team also mentioned players could complete the main story and side quest of Dying Light 2 in less than 100 hours of playtime. In recent years many franchises rebuild themselves with an open-world style, but most of them lack good and original content and items that would make the exploring experience rich.

As the trailers have shown, the world of Dying Light 2 is much more immersive and diverse than the first installment. The first game had a rich but smaller map; we’ll have to see if the richness of the first game will also be sensed in the second installment.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is set 15 years after the events of the first game. Humans have colonized on the rooftops and adapted to the post-apocalyptic cities. This game will have choice-based mechanics in which players can choose how to proceed with a quest and how to end one. Every choice will have consequences that players have to adapt to. Thanks to the new engine the technical team of Techland has developed, Dying Light 2 looks beautiful.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human will come to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 4, 2022.
