Dying Light 2 has now been out for just a few days, though fans of the game have been chipping away at it with some finishing the game outright. While I wouldn’t finish a game like that in four days myself (unless I’m reviewing it), if that’s how people have fun with the game, then all the power to them. For those who have completed the game though, and those who will end up finishing the game, you may be wondering if there is a mode to replay the story with your current gear. No need to worry though, as we have your answer. In this guide, we answer the question of if there is a new game plus mode in Dying Light 2.
Is There a New Game Plus Mode in Dying Light 2?
Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a new game plus mode at launch. Once you finish with the story you’re free to continue taking part in the side content of Dying Light 2, though those who will want to test out some of the other dialogue options and decisions will need to make a fresh save and start from square one. It’s a bit of a surprise to see the game lacking a new game plus mode, especially seeing as most games these days offer that sort of thing. Though with how much content the game offers already, I’m sure not many are too surprised or upset about that.
Though with that being said, it’s entirely possible a new game plus mode could come to Dying Light 2 at some point in the future. As the team has mentioned, they plan to have Dying Light 2 get a ton of fresh content in the months and years to come. A new game plus mode would be a worthy addition with how much traction the game is getting, so never say never. We just have nothing concrete as of yet.
