Dying Light 2 has officially released, letting players finally step into the shoes of Aiden and take on all the challenges of The City. Whether it be through choosing to help the Survivors, or assisting the militaristic Peacekeepers, you can choose how the story of this City plays out. Though before you can get to all the fun that comes with that, you first need to make sure your settings are in order. This involves ticking the usual boxes of both mouse sensitivity and volume but also means some of the smaller settings to get your performance just right. This includes motion blur which, while unaffecting when it comes to performance, can be annoying to see. If you’re unsure as to how to disable it though, we have you covered. In this guide, we’ll explain how to disable motion blur in Dying Light 2!
How to Disable Motion Blur in Dying Light 2
First of all, you’ll (obviously) want to head to the Options menu and navigate over to Video. This is likely where you’re stuck, as most settings including motion blur are missing. What you want to do when here is press the button that sends you to Advanced Video Settings. This will be F by default on PC, but can also be found at the bottom of the screen. There will be a warning that pops up saying that you may cause game instability by changing some of the settings here (which is true), but motion blur shouldn’t cause any game instability when changed. From here, simply scroll down to Motion Blur Quality and either set that to a lower value or, like me, set it to None. This will completely disable motion blur provided you apply the changes.
Dying Light 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
