Dying Light 2 Bloody Ties Details

A recent datamine of Dying Light 2 suggested that the game’s first DLC would be something gladiator-themed. The datamined sections had a new location, incomplete dialogue not available in the game, and some animated storyboards that showed the DLC’s cinematics.

The files datamined also included multiple new NPCs, all with the aforementioned gladiator theme throughout. Other storyboards and dialogues confirmed that gladiator combat will be a key focus of Bloody Ties. Some of the story DLC appears to be set in a large opera house, and an unfinished version of the building was found in the game’s files; this included several floors as well as a basement prison area.

This story DLC for Dying Light 2 was initially planned to be released sometime around June, but Techland delayed Dying Light 2 Bloody Ties and moved the release to the September-November time frame. When the full game was under development, the team confirmed they had plans to support Dying Light 2 for five more years after its release. This seems to be the first step in that direction.

Dying Light 2 had a successful launch overall; the only problems players faced were mostly on a technical level. Bugs and glitches littered the game’s open world, like most other games of this scale. Techland has since released a number of patches and updates that have rectified a lot of the technical issues.
