Dying Light 2, a game of many, many choices. Throughout both the main story and the side quests on offer, you’ll be making dozens of choices that will shape not just how the remainder of said quest plays out, but how the remainder of the game plays out and which ending you get. One set of choices that players find themselves stumped on is the choices during the True Friends side ques, where you find boys and their dog Buddy. If you find yourself unsure of which choice is best in every scenario, allow us to help. In this guide, we’ll tell you of all choices you make in True Friends in Dying Light 2 and their consequences.

Dying Light 2 True Friends Choices and Consequences

Whatever Happened, I Won’t Judge You vs. You’re Lying

Leave the Dog Be vs Put it Out of Its Misery

Like the previous choice, this doesn’t have any effect on how the remainder of the side story plays out. Instead, this asks a fairly complex question: If you saw someone or an animal such as a dog bleeding out, would you let it die or put it out of its misery? If you ask me, I’d go with option #2 as I’d rather not see that person spend their last moments in more pain than they need to, but it’s your call.

Telling the Truth to Dominik, Preserving a Lie, or Letting Scott and Moe Handle It

This is where things begin to get more interesting. If you choose to tell Dominik the truth, he will be left devastated and Nerys will be upset with your choice. If you choose to preserve the lie and say Buddy died protecting Scott and Moe, Dominik will be happy and Nerys will be happy with your choice. And finally, if you choose to let Scott and Moe handle talking to Dominik, Nerys will be happy that you had the boys own up to it. Either way, Nerys being happy with you will in the end net you better rewards.
