DwarfHeim is a game not know but many people, but it’s one that I’m personally excited for. The graphics along with it being a game in a genre receiving a massive drought is something that intrigues me. Not only that, but I can play it co-op too so friends can join me for the fun. It has a lot going for it, and I’m excited to see it potentially succeed. To give a better idea of what to expect, developer Pineleaf Studio and publisher Merge Games are revealing additional details of the game’s Early Access. The team also released a narrative trailer a few weeks ago, which you can watch below.
To get the elephant out of the room, DwarfHeim is getting everything that was promised for launch at launch. Given a lot of delays and broken promises in recent years, that’s something refreshing to hear. Those who purchase the game in Early Access can expect the Survival, Sandbox, and Conquest modes to all be available. These three give a lot of singleplayer and multiplayer content to enjoy, allowing all real-time strategy fans to find something they’ll love. Along with these though, the team is unveiling the new mode of Skirmish. This mode is available in Singleplayer or Online Co-Op, offering yet another way to play DwarfHeim. This mode has you (or you and several others) put up against an AI-controlled Dwarven team. Each map is more challenging than the last and should be a lot of fun.
This is great news to hear, as more content is always a welcome bonus. Pineleaf CEO Hans-Andreas Kleven had the following to say about today’s news:
DwarfHeim will be available on PC through Steam this Fall. While we find today’s news exciting, we’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you think DwarfHeim will succeed in being a great RTS?
