Dungeons of Aledorn, the hardcore dungeon crawling role play game which is currently on Kickstarter, has achieved Greenlight status in just 6 days.
Team21, who say the game is inspired by games such as Betrayal at Krondor and King’s Bounty, recently turned to the crowd funding website Kickstarter to fund the development process of their title, Dungeons of Aledorn. Asking for a base funding goal of $60,000 the pledge counter is currently sat at just over $22,000. Despite the game being a third funded the developers no money will leave gamers wallets and go to the developers if the base funding goal isn’t reached.
Danny Nezmar, Producer at Team21, had this to say about reaching Greenlight status and the response so far on Kickstarter:
“We have been Greenlit in 6 days, we’re amazed! We’d like to give a huge thanks to everyone who voted for us and made Greenlight a reality. I’m truly humbled by the response from votes and from the backers on Kickstarter, we’ve even had legendary co-author of Betrayal at Krondor, Neal Hallford backing our game! We’re really excited to be one step closer to bringing Dungeons of Aledorn to you. The development team and I had some liquid bread to celebrate, then went right back to work on our Kickstarter campaign!”
With 17 days to go the campaign certainly has the potential to be funded and achieving Greenlight status will only help Team21 in getting the funds they need. Described as an RPG title set in a classic high fantasy world with branching skills and intriguing quests, Dungeons of Aledorn definitely sounds exciting.
Check out the game and learn about its many other features, such as plans to be DRM free, over on the project’s Kickstarter page.
