Neverwinter has recently taken a dive into the first layer of the Nine Hells following the release of the Dungeons & Dragons campaign book: Descent Into Avernus. Now, there is a limited time campaign titled The Redeemed Citadel that follows the story.

Currently available on PC with a later launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, The Redeemed Citadel follows the recently redeemed archdevil Zariel’s quest to undo the damage she’s done. Her goal is to return the Bleeding Citadel to its former glory and serve as a leader of angelic strength within the Nine Hells.

In this campaign, players work to reach four milestones in the reforging of the Citadel. Challenge missions allow players to achieve this and earn Zariel’s favor. With enough favor, players can purchase multiple rewards.

The Redeemed Citadel is a new Neverwinter area and it will be available for a few months. There will be new quests and Hunts to tackle. Some rewards include more gear, Astral Diamonds, Preservation Wards essential in item upgrading, Companion Upgrade Tokens, Mount Tokens, and Avernus treasure maps. Players can also obtained Blessed weapons, an Angel Companion, Boots of the Rat King that summon rats, a Zariel vanity pet, rings, and teleport scrolls that taken players to the Redeemed Citadel.

Neverwinter is ideal for D&D fans and lovers of all types of RPG’s. It is a multi-player online game, but can function just as easily playing solo. Avernus is meant for experienced players of higher levels to tackle. Other fun campaigns featured throughout Neverwinter include Ravenloft, Icewind Dale, the Jungles of Chult, and the Well of Dragons featuring Tiamat. Players can become a variety of races and classes, but there are still some missing like the Duergar. Players can visit well-known lore locations along the Sword Coast, the Underdark, and more to scratch that RPG itch.
