Dune: Spice Wars, the 4X RTS game set in the Dune world where factions must battle it out for life and domination, has received multiplayer support from Funcom and Shiro Games. Players may now partner up in 2v2 contests or compete in free-for-all matchups for up to four players, according to the patch notes.
Dune: Spice Wars Update Released With Multiplayer Mode
Shiro Games launched Dune: Spice Wars last April, a 4X in the universe created by Frank Herbert, which is currently playable on PC in Early Access. The French developer had promised updates to keep the strategy game’s development going, and the first major update was just released today.
The multiplayer update is the first significant update on the Early Access roadmap, and it certainly won’t be the last. The developer said this in the patch notes:
In addition to multiplayer, this update modifies development trees focusing on collaboration between factions and adds new political resolutions, events, regions, and many other improvements.
Dune: Spice Wars is 20% off on Steam to celebrate this update. Join forces and check out the new multiplayer trailer, along with other new features that have been included with the update. Players can look forward to more updates like this in the future.
