‘Dropkick on My Devil!’ and Crowdfunding: Wanting to Make More
The staff explained making enough episodes for one cours (quarter of a year) worth of anime would cost about 300 million yen ($2.132 million). They also stated that they do not “have the power to raise that kind of capital,” so the first goal is to launch a crowdfunding campaign. With this reached, the staff will screen the episodes at special events. If the campaign manages to raise enough money to produce 12 episodes, they will be compiled and broadcast as the fourth season.
The first two seasons of the Dropkick on My Devil! anime premiered in July 2018 and April 2020 respectively. The third season also had a successful crowdfunding campaign that launched in September 2020 and ended in December 2,880. Backers raised 36,181,238 yen (about $351,100). Additionally, one backer pledged 1.1 million yen ($10,ooo) to name the title of the season.
The Dropkick on My Devil! ova episode is scheduled for release on December 2025. Backers of certain tiers will receive the anime on Blu-ray Disc.
