Dread Templar Extended Gameplay Trailer

Released just yesterday, developers deployed an extended gameplay trailer. Observing the trailer, one can see how the game is heavily influenced by retro FPS titles. Based on the trailer, the gameplay appears to be pretty smooth. One thing this title has over classics is the bullet time mechanic. And it’s sure to add a layer of fun you don’t see often in similar titles. Here are some features of Dread Templar if you’re not already familiar with them:

  • Modern and Classic Elements – Developers combine the chaos of the retro FPS genre with the smoothness of modern titles. Additionally, you can score headshot after headshot with the bullet time element.
  • Customizable Weapons – What’s a stroll through hell without powerful weapons? Upgrade your firearms and weapons in Dread Templar to fit exactly how you want to play.
  • Multiple Puzzle Elements – The path to revenge won’t be easy. You’ll have to solve puzzles to get through certain areas. All, while simultaneously staving off the forces of hell.
  • Multiple Weapon Types – Sure, you’ll have plenty of firearms to choose from. But, if you want to get up close, wield a deadly katana. Or chuck electrified Kali sticks at enemies.
  • Tribute to the Retro FPS genre – All elements in Dread Templar are hand-drawn. And very reminiscent of classic 90s titles.

You can find the title on Steam for a 10% discount at $13.49. Be aware that the game is currently in Early Access. And is currently not a fully released game.
