Bandai Namco has now announced an online world tournament that will happen inside the virtual arena of Dragon Ball Xenoverse.
The beta for the tournament has already started and will go on until August 23rd. This period is just a practice phase to see if the servers will hold up. No winners will be crowned, but you can check out the competition.
The actual qualification rounds start on August 25th and ends on August 30th. It is here you have to play lots of Dragon Ball Xenoverse to increase your ranking. The top 4 players will qualify for the finals.
After that, the most exciting part of the tournament happens. The Finals will be happening on September 5th until September 12th. These fights will all be recorded for everyone to see and displayed on the official YouTube channel.
Bandai Namco announced the prizes too: “Our Champions will get an in-game Hercule badge and the 7 Dragon Balls. And Bandai Namco Entertainment will create unique themes and backgrounds using champions’ avatars for Microsoft, Steam and PlayStation systems“.
It’s also worth mentioning this big Dragon Ball Xenoverse tournament is open to all players. PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC Steam players are allowed to participate. Good luck to everyone that intends to enroll.
