Nintendo’s first original mobile game features dragons, magic, shapeshifting and up to 4 players online co-op battles.

Nintendo recently provided more details regarding the launch of a new JRPG game for mobile devices: Dragalia Lost. While the game was announced back in April, we have been eagerly waiting to know more about it. The wait is over!

This new title has been co-developed together with the Japanese studio Cygames, responsible for games like Granblue Fantasy, Knights of Glory or Disney Fantasy Quest, which are widely known in Japan.

While a global launch has yet to be confirmed, the game will be released on September 27th in the U.S., Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau (according to the official website).

Here you have the official trailer in English:

The game is set in the Kingdom of Alberia, where dragons and humans coexist pacifically. The royal family of Alberia has the power of shapeshifting, by making a pact with a dragon they can take its form and use all its power.

The game will allow up to 4 players online and uses swipe and tap controls in order to move the characters and battle the enemies. The following video shows the gameplay:

While it took a while for Nintendo to start their mobile gaming strategy, their very own social networking app, Miitomo, opened the way back on March 2016 with Super Mario Run following later that year on iOS (December) and on Android on March 2017.

Since then, Nintendo has been moving slowly but surely in the right direction with Pokemon Go (together with The Pokemon Company and Niantic), Pokemon Quest (The Pokemon Company) and other titles of their own such as Fire Emblem Heroes and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

That is not all, the big N company announced the launch of Mario Kart Tour at some point during March/April 2019, another game fans have been wanting to play on their mobile devices for quite a long time!
