Dr. Seuss Baking Competition?
The currently untitled Dr. Seuss baking competition series will challenge some of the United States’ best bakers to imagine and create cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other baked goods based on Dr. Seuss’ stories and characters. This includes characters like the Grinch, the Cat in the Hat, the Lorax, Horton the elephant, Yertle the Turtle, and of course Thing One and Thing Two.
The people behind Cupcake Wars are producing the untitled Dr. Seuss baking competition show. It is also currently casting contestants.
Dr. Seuss — also known as Theodor Seuss Geisel — is an American children’s author, cartoonist, and more. He has written several iconic children’s books, including Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Oh, The Places You’ll Go! His writing and drawing style are completely original and inspire readers for decades.
However, in recent years, the work of Dr. Seuss has become a source of controversy. During World War II, Seuss crafted racist political cartoons of Japanese people and even supported Japanese internment camps in the United States. However, Seuss later regretted these cartoons and his support for the camps. This inspired him to write stories like Horton Hears a Who! and The Sneetches to combat both nationalism and racism.
