One Piece fans will have a chance to test out the waters for Odyssey, days before the official launch. The upcoming open-world action title from developer ILCA and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment delivers a little teaser in the form of a demo. With it, players can experience the first couple of hours with Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they embark on an extensive journey. The demo for One Piece Odyssey is available now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S.
Take a Run with the Straw Hat Pirates in the One Piece Odyssey Demo
The demo for the upcoming single-player title from ILCA and Bandai Namco will explore the first part of the game’s narrative. Evidently, the download files are relatively small, less than 8 GB for the brief gameplay. The full game will push the installation size to a greater extent, of course, but the demo will allow you to play out the initial moments of One Piece Odyssey. Additionally, any progress made within the demo can be transferred over to the full game once it releases.
PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S players can download the One Piece Odyssey demo now from their respective digital stores. Simply look up the title of the game while searching for the free demo. The Standard and Deluxe editions are also on display for you to check out in the shops.
At the time of writing, there doesn’t appear to be a PC version of the demo. Only the aforementioned platforms will feature the gameplay, though this might change before the release date. In the meantime, there are plenty of trailers and gameplay videos that can provide a frame of reference.
One Piece Odyssey is launching this week on January 13 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Be sure to download the demo now to see what’s in store for the Straw Hat Pirates in this new JRPG from Bandai Namco Entertainment.
