Developer Doublequote Studio is stacking together the winning pieces for HeistGeist, a deck-building RPG set in a cyberpunk world. Players are encouraged to wishlist HeistGeist through its Steam page to stay updated on the game’s progress. It is expected to launch sometime next year in 2023 for Steam and Nintendo Switch. The announcement for HeistGeist also comes with a fresh reveal trailer for players to check out.

Pick Your Cards Right in HeistGeist

The year is 2047 in Central Europe with the world of HeistGeist. Players will take on the role of Alex, a thief-for-hire who is on the run after a botched job. As she attempts to pull off a grand heist to make ends finally meet, she’ll need to assemble trustworthy companions and a powerful deck. That’s where the gameplay comes in.

HeistGeist is entirely story-based, with deck-building mechanics that work themselves into the combat. Not only will the story progress, but Alex’s actions will have an impact on the world. It all comes down to what you choose to do during your heists, coupled with the importance of building together a strong deck. Additionally, there is the in-game cyberspace where you’ll be able to solve puzzles via hacking with your chosen cards. If you’re up to the task of bringing Alex back to the top again, you’ll need to choose your plays carefully.

To see a glimpse of the cyberpunk gameplay for HeistGeist, you can watch the reveal trailer here. In its 1:18 timeframe, players are treated to a sneak peek into the planning of a heist. Alex and her team must infiltrate a data vault, where twists and turns ultimately come into the scene the further they delve into enemy territory. The trailer concludes with its key artwork along with an open invitation to wishlist the title.
