DOOM will be releasing its very first post-launch update, DOOM Update #1 on June 30th for Ps4, Xbox One, and PC. This patch will provide players with a number of bug and glitch fixes, along with some brand new features, including a totally new Photo Mode. Players will be able to snap pics in the game, then share them with the world.
The DOOM Update #1 patch notes were also released alongside the release date reveal. You can click here to read through them all. We’ve selected a few of our favorite additions and changes, so keep reading to see how the game will be altered come the end of the month.
DOOM Update #1 changes include: “Added Classic DOOM weapon placement/view model option (all modes). Added Photo Mode (You’ll find the new Photo Mode toggle in the game settings. It is available through the pause menu once you are loaded into a map via Mission Select). Fixed Steam Friends’ Ultra-Nightmare Helmets not populating the map. Fixed freeze when opening weapon wheel at more than 142 FPS (PC). Fixed quit to desktop when clicking campaign after initiating Dev Mode (PC). Fixed “IDKFA” Trophy/Achievement not properly unlocking (all versions)”
There’s a lot more coming in this update though, so be ready for it on June 30th. As long as you have auto-updates enabled it should download and install without any input on your end.
