While the DOOM closed beta recently came to an end, Bethesda has just announced that an open beta will be coming soon. The open beta will be coming next week and will be available to download on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The open beta will run from Friday, April 15th to Monday, April 18th and will include Team Deathmatch and Warpath modes that can be played in the Heatwave and Infernal maps.
Multiplayer is set to be a big feature in the upcoming game, as there will be several content updates and DLC packs that will bring new modes and maps to play around with. There will also be a mode called SnapMap, which allows you to create your own maps and share them with people online.
Three premium multiplayer DLC packs will be released that will each cost $14.99 individually, or you can get them as part of the $39.99 season pass. Here’s what the first DLC pack includes:
- Three new maps
- One new weapon
- One new playable demon
- One new armour set
- One new piece of equipment
- New hack modules and taunts
- New customization colours and patterns
DOOM is set to launch for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 13th.
