The Skylanders series recently revealed their latest entry in the series with Skylanders SuperChargers. Many new competitors have joined the toys to life market and Nintendo was one of them with their amiibo. One would not have imagining any of them being combined, but Nintendo and Skylanders have done just that.
During this morning’s Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that a special Donkey Kong and Bowser Skylanders/amiibo/hybrid would be coming. These two figures, which also come with vehicles, will both be able to be used in not only the upcoming Skylanders SuperChargers, but also as amiibo in various games.
As seen in the stream, you just have to adjust the base itself to switch it from being able to work in a Skylanders portal or as an amiibo on the Wii U or New Nintendo 3DS.
This is something definitely interesting to see and it’ll be intriguing if we see anymore partnerships like this with amiibo or even more of these with Skylanders SuperChargers.
