With day three of E3 2021 packed with indie announcements, Freedom Games had their window to present some new titles. One of these was the well-received To The Rescue! game where it puts players in charge of managing a dog shelter.
Adopt Don’t Shop for To The Rescue!
Many indie developers spoke about the passionate projects that they’ve worked on throughout the years. For Olivia Dunlap and her team over at Little Rock Games, To The Rescue! is about raising awareness for dogs in shelters. As she took the digital stage to talk about the game, gameplay footage played on as she described it all.
Essentially, To The Rescue! is a dog shelter simulator where you are looking after a variety of pups. This will involve cuddles and clean-ups, but vicious diseases, picky puppies, and negative behaviors can have an impact on your dog shelter. Therefore, you’ll have to really take care of these canines if they are to find a home one day.
As potential owners browse, matching them to the right dog will be the ultimate challenge. The quicker a pup goes home, the more room you will have to house other rescued dogs. However, there may come a time when a hound can no longer be looked after, and tough decisions may come into play.
Charity Efforts
It’s important to realize the game’s potential. Not because it’s a dog shelter simulator, but the developers are committed to donating to charity. 20% of Little Rock Games’ profits accumulated through the game’s total sales will be donated to benefit shelters across the United States. They’re still working out the final details, but they aim to create an impact for the animals that make us better people.
To The Rescue! is looking to launch sometime this Fall. Thanks to their crowdfunding campaign, the game is getting close to completion. It’ll be available to play on PC and Mac via Steam, as well as the Nintendo Switch. To get involved in Little Rock Games’ cause, you wishlist the game here to stay up-to-date.
