The Overwatch series is finally getting the Beta for its second title. But a lot of details still remain up in the air, with many players still trying to figure out how to get into the Beta. If you do manage to get in, will the data transfer over to the full game, and just how invested should you be?
Your data won’t transfer from the Overwatch 2 Beta to the full game. This is because a lot of changes are going to take place between the Beta tests and the official launch of Overwatch 2. There is almost guaranteed to be some rebalancing and character changes between the Beta tests themselves.
This shouldn’t be too surprising, though, as the original Overwatch followed the same formula with its Beta tests, and players didn’t get to keep any of their data. This Beta is aimed more at collecting character feedback, and while it is a type of demo, it’s not a final representation of the game.
