Since its release, Stardew Valley has been available on every console and platform, including mobile. It also features a multiplayer mode in which players can run their own farms together. One of the main complaints about Stardew Valley is its restrictive multiplayer system, which does not seem to take advantage of how many platforms it’s on.

Is Stardew Valley cross-platform?

Stardew Valley is not cross-platform or cross-play, so you can’t play it with someone who has a version for another console. This includes Android users not being able to play with iPhone users. Community members have been requesting this for a long time, but it does not appear that it will happen soon.

The developer of Stardew Valley, Concerned Ape, looks like they’ve discontinued the updates for Stardew Valley. Haunted Chocolatier was revealed only one month before the last game update for Stardew Valley. Haunted Chocolatier is the newest game from Eric Barone, the person leading Concerned Ape. As Concerned Ape is a one-man studio, it is safe to say that one game will take priority and we can assume it’s the newer one.

Will Stardew Valley ever get cross-play?

Stardew Valley normally received an update or new feature announcement almost every month, but that stopped after the announcement of Haunted Chocolatier. Therefore, Concerned Ape is unlikely to take time away from developing his latest game so that he can do the time-consuming process of adding cross-platform multiplayer to it.
