The main characters in Rune Factory 5 are already set, and there isn’t a way to change them. You can choose between two main protagonists, Alice or Ares. Regardless of who you choose, you have the same choices and gameplay experience waiting on you.
This is due to the fact that Rune Factory 5 places a heavy emphasis on the story and has animated cutscenes throughout the game. While you can’t change how Alice and Ares look, the story and beautiful animation more than make-up for having a static main protagonist.
