If you were asking does New World has controller support, the answer is not officially. But you are free to rebind your controls as you see fit. This means that if you have a controller connected to your PC, you can rebind controls to it, though this will not be the optimal way to play.

This is due to the number of keys on a keyboard vs. a controller. Numerous inputs in New World simply will not fit on a controller. But preference and comfort are important, so you may prefer using a controller vs. mouse and keyboard. Not having every input available at a single press isn’t the end of the world, especially if you only play PvE.

If you prefer to play on the controller, you will need to rebind your keys one by one. To do so, go to your settings and navigate to the key bindings page. From there, you will simply need to click the command you want to rebind and select the appropriate button on your controller.
