Final Fantasy XIV’s Endwalker expansion releases more jobs, missions, and dungeons available for players to explore. The addition of more content to Final Fantasy XIV has raised questions on whether there will be changes to the Trial Edition of the game, mainly if the level cap will increase for free players.

While the level cap in Final Fantasy XIV does increase with Endwalker, the trial version of the game will still only allow players to play through A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and hit level 60. Those interested in experiencing the game’s other expansions—Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker must first purchase them from the Square Enix store, Steam, or the PlayStation Store, depending on their platform of choice.

We recommend exploring purchase options before buying Final Fantasy XIV. For more information on what each edition of the game contains, visit the Final Fantasy XIV Product Page.

We can, however, recommend the Final Fantasy XIV Online Complete Edition for new players looking to grab all the game has to offer when it becomes available on Dec. 7, 2021.
