Diablo 3 has no cross-platform features as of today, which means Diablo 3 can only be played by players on the same platform they are already using. This also goes for cross-progression. PC users can play with other PC users, but they cannot transfer their saved files to any other system.
Players worldwide have likely given up on the cross-platform play as the game ages.
Many people still believe that it may come because of a 2018 interview with Business Insider. During this interview, a Blizzard representative said, “It’s a question of when, not if,” when speaking about cross-play. Unfortunately, the developers were quick to deny any implementation of cross-play from the game.
As a result, the chances of this changing anytime soon are pretty slim, especially with Diablo 2 Resurrected having come out.
Diablo 2 Resurrected added cross-play to the series. If you are interested in cross-play in Diablo, it is now available. The team at Pro Game Guides has also created guides on the game.
