The Assassins Creed games after Origins have had tiered gear, levels, and unique abilities that have made the experience more of an RPG than the initial start of the series had been. By making it more of an RPG experience, the development team has added new features to fit with that, such as a new game plus mode. With Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also following the same patterns, players likely expect a new game plus mode to be accessible in this game with a few unique twists of its own.

While Valhalla does not have a new game plus mode at launch, this likely won’t be the case. Before it, the previous games, Origins and Odyssey, had a new game plus mode added to the game a few months after they released. Ubisoft added the mode to the game in a later patch and made it available to everyone who owned it.

Even though Valhalla doesn’t have a new game plus mode at the time of this writing, don’t fret. The feature will likely be included sometime in early 2021, and it will release as a free update. If you’re itching to jump back into Valhalla from the start, you can always start a brand new game and work your way through it. But it doesn’t hurt to beat the game, put it down, and then return to it in a few months when Ubisoft announces its release.
