Disney Dreamlight Valley released its first major content update, Scar’s Kingdom. To mark the release, Gameloft has released a trailer showcasing the new update, as well as creating a post going through the update details. The content update is free for anyone that owns the Founder’s Pack version of the game, or to Xbox Game Pass members.
Scar’s Kingdom Update
The major addition to this update is the addition of Scar, the villain of The Lion King. With him comes a new story involving the Sunlit Plateau. The Pillar of Nurturing in there has dried up due to dark magic, and you will have to team up with Scar in order to bring it back to life. The Scar’s Kingdom trailer shows that this will bring you deep within the Plateau’s mines, while also having to deal with Scar.
These aren’t the only things coming to the update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, seeing as the Scar’s Kingdom update also adds a new Star Path in the Events page. This new path will have you befriend the various villains living in the Valley. Completing events for them will give you tokens you can use to get exclusive items based on the Disney villains and Halloween.
Speaking of Halloween, the Scrooge Shop will also be offering new items based on the holiday. You will also find new Halloween craft-able items at your workbench. More content is teased to be coming for the holiday soon.
Finally, there are a few updates being made to Disney Dreamlight Valley based on community feedback. This includes plants being properly watered by rain, new hair color options, ways to interact with you animal companions, and more.
