Disney Dreamlight Valley features relatable characters from Pixar and Disney that can help you unlock gifts, complete quests, and interact with you over a wide range of activities. Moreover, as your friendship with them blossoms, they can become your companion, a feature that will unlock even more benefits for you. If this sounds interesting, read this guide on how to use companion roles in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to use Companion Roles
The first step to using companion roles is to create a friendship with a character of your choice. Talk to them and select the gift option. By gifting them items you find around Dreamlight Valley, you will increase your friendship. At level two friendship, you will be able to assign the character any of the following companion roles:
- Horticulture: Companion will increase your harvest at harvest time
- Fishing: Get more fish when mate catches fish
- Mining: Companion will help you get more minerals
- Growing forage: Companions get more items when harvesting wild crops and fruits
- Digging: Companion gets more items while digging
Once you select a suitable role for your companion, activate the role by talking to them and selecting the “Let’s hang out!” option. They will start to follow you around and assist you as you engage in the activity. Just in case you are wondering, you can only have one companion at a time. So, if you choose to change one for another, the former will just walk away.
