How to Upgrade your Pickaxe in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The first step to upgrading your Pickaxe is to invite Maui back to the Village from the Moana Realm. To do this, you complete A Feast Worthy of a Demigod quest. You can complete it by giving Maui 3 meals with 3 stars or higher.
Once Maui got into the Village, you have to raise your friendship level with him to unlock the Burying the Eel and A Tale of Stone and Fire quests which will end up with your pickaxe being upgraded.
Once the quest begins, go to Goofy, which will tell you you will need three worms and eight softwoods. You can get the softwoods in the Peaceful Meadow lying on the ground.
Once you’ve gathered all the required items, go to a Crafting Table and make the fishing trap. Then you must place the trap in the waters near Dazzle Beach’s dock. Then talk to Maui and tell him the trap is set, and then go to the place where you plant the trap and start fishing until you hook an eel.
Bring the eel back to Maui, and he will tell you to plant it on a spot on the beach. Once you planted the seed and gave it water, it will become a coconut tree. Harvest a coconut and give it to Maui. After this, you have to raise your friendship level with Maui to level 4.
Once you’ve reached the required friendship level, Maui will help you upgrade your Pickaxe, but he needs some tools from Mauna’s realm. So you must travel to Muana’s realm and take all the items inside a basket on the other side of the boat.
