The second and preferably better method involves using your watering can destroy large mushrooms. Getting to the largest mushrooms requires completing Merlin’s Level 10 Friendship quest. Before you get this upgrade, your only solution is to break smaller mushrooms and collect the drops. This method may net you more mushrooms, but it is finite, so it is best to use it alongside the foraging. That said, finish Merlin’s quest as soon as possible, as that will also unlock a maxed-out Watering Can that will let you break all mushroom types.
