Disney Dreamlight Valley is an exciting simulation game available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch that allows players to explore the magical realm of Dreamlight Valley and interact with all their favorite Disney characters. Everything around the Valley can be a useful resource used to create or sell for a reward. Use your Royal Tools to harvest, fish, dig, and mine all sorts of useful materials, such as Gems. Gems can be used in various ways to benefit your character and are one of the most valuable resources you can find in the Valley.
Where are all the Gems in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
The Gems are not all in the same place. In fact, they are scattered throughout all the Biomes and only occasionally are found within deposits. Deposits are large standing black-colored rocks around the outerskirts of the areas near cliffsides. If the deposit holds a Gem, you can see the shiny colored jewel. You can check each Gems possible location by taking a look at your Gems Collection page in your menu.

How to get Gems in Disney Dreamlight Valley
If you spot a Gem in a deposit, you can collect it by using your pickaxe to break it open. First, make sure your pickaxe is equipped by holding the Right-Trigger or Tab and selecting it on your tool wheel. Then approach the deposit and press X on Xbox and Switch, Square on PlayStation, or M1 on PC, to break it open. It will take a few hits for the deposit to completely break and release the Gem onto the ground for you to grab.
What are Gems for in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Gems are a great resource that you can use for crafting recipes. You can check if a recipe requires a specific Gem by opening your Crafting Collection menu and checking out the Recipe located at the bottom of the screen. Crafting different items might call for varied Gems, so it may be a good idea to keep them secured in a chest or trunk for later use.
If you don’t wish to keep a stash of Gems for crafting and would rather make a few quick Star Coins, you can also sell them to Goofy at his Stall located in the Meadow. Gems are some of the best resources to sell for Coins. You can check how much they sell for by hovering over them in the Sell menu, or by looking at them in the Gems Collection menu.
Gems will only spawn in deposits occasionally, so keep checking and collect them when you can. They can be valuable resources for crafting or help you earn some Star Coins quickly!
