The chance to fix the heart of Dreamlight Valley is a quest you get after helping Maui with various tasks. Once you raise his Friendship level to 10, he will give you some Scraping stones alongside the hunk of limestone you fished from in the previous quest. Use these two items to craft the first half of the Heart of Dreamlight Valley.

The heart resides atop the statue at the top of the stairs in Dream Castle. Go inside the castle and search around for the other half. If you find it, talk to Maui, who will, in turn, ask you to talk to Merlin about fixing the heart. After speaking to wise Merlin, you will receive a list of materials needed to fix the heart. Merlin will ask you to find the following:
- Water from the Frosted Heights
- Water from the Forgotten Lands
- Three Purified Night Shards
To get the waters, go to the respective biomes and interact with the water. As for the Purified Night Shards, you can obtain them by combining Night Shards and Dream Shards at a crafting station.
Once done with all the crafting, use the materials to fix the Heart of Dreamlight Valley. Once you fix the heart, talk to Maui, and he will task you with returning the heart to its rightful place. This involves placing the heart in the statue and talking to Maui. Yah! you have successfully completed the quest. For your hard work, you will receive a statue of Maui.
