The Toy Story Update for Disney Dreamlight Valley has introduced a massive number of new craftable decorations and festive furnishings, such as the charming Yule Goat. For those curious about what this goat symbolizes, it is a cultural icon that dates back thousands of years ago within Nordic countries of Europe. There are many legends regarding why a goat was the choice animal for a Scandinavian Christmas ornament. For instance, some cultures’ version of Santa dressed up as a goat before handing out presents. Of course, such practices do not exist in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but it is nice to see real-world historical myths making their way into the Valley.
Crafting the Yule Goat in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Whether players have a connection or interest in Nordic folklore, the Yule Goat in Disney Dreamlight Valley stands out as a cute festive decoration to add to one’s home or Village. To craft the Yule Goat, fans need two specific materials: Wheat and Fabric.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Harvest Something Sweet
Newcomers who have been playing Disney Dreamlight Valley for only an hour will likely have already discovered Wheat during their playthrough. It is one of the first crops that players encounter at Goofy’s Stall within the Peaceful Meadow, the starting biome south of the Plaza. Wheat Seeds are extremely cheap and only take one minute to grow, according to Sportskeeda. Alternatively, players can acquire Wheat by foraging in the Peaceful Meadow. For instance, clearing away Night Thorns or digging up dirt mounds has a chance to yield Carrots, Wheat, or their corresponding Seeds. To craft the Yule Goat in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players must prepare 50 stacks of Wheat.
Fabric, on the other hand, is a bit more challenging to acquire. First, players must have access to the Sunlit Plateau, the biome west of the Plaza. The Plateau becomes available once players have spent 7,000 Dreamlight to clear away its Night Thorn blockade. Once the entrance is clear, fans can rebuild Goofy’s Stall in the biome and purchase Cotton Seeds. After planting and harvesting some Cotton, players can use a workbench to craft the resource into Fabric. Once players have made two stacks of Fabric, they can combine it with their Wheat to make the Yule Goat in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
