If you’re anything like me, finding particular enjoyment in all things Dishonored and Dishonored 2, then we could be great friends. I rarely find myself falling in love with stealth games, but Dishonored immediately had me hooked. Its fluidity of movement and combat made its gameplay all the more satisfying, with the sequel immediately grabbing my attention. One of the co-creators for Dishonored, Harvey Smith, has my interest yet again. During an interview with Spanish publication Vandal, he has announced that he’s working on an unannounced title with former developers of the Dishonored and Prey games.
Specifically, Harvey Smith is working with these developers at Arkane’s Austin studio. He had previously helped create Dishonored 2 at Arkane’s studio in Lyon, France, and moved to Austin to instead work there afterward. With him at the helm of this next title, we can no doubt expect it to be something great. As for speculation territory though, it’s important to note that if this is a new Dishonored title, would be vastly different from what we’ve seen. If you’ve played the Death of the Outsider expansion, you know at the end the Outsider’s reign over the void was put to an end. This also ends the Void magic that Corvo and Emily used in the first two titles, a central part of the gameplay. At the same time, this could also be a completely new IP. Regardless, if Harvey Smith is making a new Dishonored game (or any game for that matter), it’ll no doubt be groundbreaking.
