Ubisoft has released the patch notes for the 1.3.0 update launching today for free to all Assassin’s Creed Origins owners, which adds some long-anticipated features that makes the game a more educational experience and gives players more reasons to make a second run. We are talking about the Discovery Tour and the New Game + mode. Additionally, the patch also solves a large number of technical issues concerning quests, activities, user interface, or general gameplay.
The Discovery Tour was announced as a tool for teachers, students, and educational institutions around the globe, in order to help making learning lessons more interactive, immersive, and simply more “fun.” This mode allows the player to explore the Ancient Egypt of the game by taking part in one of the more than 75 tours that go through different cities and specific locations exploring Egypt, the pyramids, Alexandria, the daily life in that age, and the Romans. Not only that, but there are also clearly identified stations that provide additional information about different topics.
On the other hand, the New Game + mode allows players to start a new game keeping the weapons, outfits, and abilities acquired in the previous game. Just have in mind that this mode only unlocks after completing the final main quest of the story. For more information, check out the official patch notes.
The new update will be available for free to all Assassin’s Creed Origins owners. Watch the trailer for the Discovery Tour below.
